Return to the Father

When we are living our daily life there are times that we find ourselves looking for a new thing or direction to go in. I have found myself looking for solutions many days, during times of decision making and when I just need time to process all that life has dealt me in that moment or season. Did you know that we are always seeking answers for something daily, think about it, what are we going to eat, what are we going to wear, what are we going to listen to on our ride to work, school, etc. always a choice or option to reveal a result.

I have found personally that even in those small things I have begun to challenge myself and seek an answer or recommendation from within myself or others around me. Can you think of a time that you have sought counsel when making decisions in your life? Many times we don’t realize that we have done this until after, case in point as a parent I make breakfast for my child and begin to make things and ask them how they want their eggs cooked or how crispy they would like their bacon. Even small as that may seem we still ask for a answer when we prepare a meal we have created and made many times because the results can vary.

So why when it comes to the big decisions in our lives do we not seek wise counsel and seek answers from the Father, He who knows all things and wants to supply all our needs? The answers may surprise you when you begin to reflect on what is in your heart or the thoughts that come to mind. Do you challenge the norm of what other people say you should do or do you seek the answer from God? It can be a challenge to see yourself and what you do, to how others may operate in the moment of trouble and travail.

I have done a lot of soul searching lately of how I have been operating in things lately, what can I do in this thing or what impact will this come to past kind of thing, and when I try to operate in my own strength it fails most of the time or has a limited reach. However, when I operate out of faith and how the Father askes me to do it, I don’t always understand things can shift and have more movement then I could ever understand or believe for.

As I seek the Father for things it makes my confidence grow and my faith stronger because I no longer relay on myself for the answer, I relay on Him and what the outcome can be when I leave it in his hands. Can I challenge you to return it to the Father and let him reveal it to you by way of relationship to Him through the Holy Spirit? When we allow him to move on our behalf things can shift to the next level or in a way we never imagined that they could.
