God Is With You

Have you ever felt like there was no one with you surrounding and supporting you?  I recently had one of those weeks where I was feeling so overwhelmed and over everything, not wanting to be a part of my regular life events. 

I’ve been working and being intentional about my healing and mental health, dealing with past hurts and traumas and my fight or flight responses has been super activated emotionally.  I thought I had been dealing with things logically and analytically but digging up roots is a painful, yet beneficial process.  

It amazes me how when you think you forgave someone, or a situation and you get confronted by it how you respond and process them.  People like to say time heals wounds but that’s a lie I’m here to tell you that only God can do that, it may come in his touch on your heart and setting you free with deliverance, or sitting down with a professional counselor who will help you work through and process things.  

I have seen over the years many thought leaders talking about how we need to rewire our brains from past hurts, fears, and traumas never really taking into thought that the Bible tells us the same thing.  

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;”

2 Corinthians 10:5 ASV

“For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Hebrews 4:12 ASV

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

It has been such a healing process seeing myself as God sees me, HIS  

“For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:”

He has made me to be all for him and this world cannot stop the things He has for me!! So back to these thoughts and emotions that he created us to have, when we think and process the things, we have been through in our own power and strength we can sometimes get stuck without an exit strategy. 

   God with his unlimited strategies and resources provides for us a way to escape, whether it’s a counselor to talk you through and process things in sessions that can save your life and sanity or digging into scripture for him to show you who you are and who He has called you to be!  

We are not alone and have a Heavenly Father who cares and wants you to be free!! Today started out for me with these verses.

The Lord of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”

Isaiah 14:24

The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you” (Deuteronomy 2:7).

They touched my heart and helped unlock another part of myself that I have closed off to others and myself, showing me that his finished work in me is a process I have to allow myself to go through so that I can be used of Him to touch the lives He needs me to touch! 

I hope these verses will help you today and start your own process of or continue on your healing journey!
