Writing again

When I decided to create another project, I wondered what I would write about, my previous projects had themes being part of single mom groups, but I knew this one had to be about more than just a title. What I had learned about during this process was that I was more than just a label, I had more to me than just being mom.

Have you ever set limitations on yourself and wondered why things did not go the way you expected them to, or better yet went exactly that? It is so mind-blowing that we negate our worth so much based on what other people see us as instead of how God sees us or how we see ourselves.

I love how in Jeremiah 1:5 God told Jeremiah that before he formed him in the womb, he knew him sanctified and appointed him, let that sink in, he was known and had a plan set up for him. And in Jeremiah 29:11-13 how God tells us he knows the thoughts he has toward us of peace and not of evil to give us a hope and future, all we must do is seek him with all our hearts. Its so encouraging to see that our creator loves us no matter what and is willing to show us that repeatedly.

One of the verses I learned to cling to is Psalms 139:14 For I give thanks that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and marvelous are Gods works, if we look at the creation story when God finished making things, he said it was good so when we look at ourselves as anything but good, we devalue his words. He shows us repeatedly that he loves us as we are and that he will guide us and keep us if we let him.

I tell you all these things to let you know its ok to be you! God created each of us with talents and gifts that we can use to honor him in all we are so do not limit yourself as just anything. You are wonderfully made to be everything you can be, not just.

I am not just this label of one title, but a myriad of things wrapped up in this awesome package that God created me to be mom, sister, daughter, friend, artist, author, and created in his image. So, no limit can be made on Gods image, or his experience so why do we limit ours? When we work out our journey and move forward into partnership and purpose, we can see that the road is not easy that challenges will come and always will.

Remind yourself that someone out there needs you, to be that example how to do something or how you came out of something. Our testimony is something that no one else has but can learn from, the first part of that word use to upset me. Test why does it have to be in there, without the tests we would not have a testimony or testament of what we have been through.

If you look at the bible its broken up in two parts the old testament and new testament, both are a collection of letters or verbal history that has been passed down the generations and collected so that we may have them as examples of how things were and is to come. So, you see with the tests of those who came before us we have a way to move forward in the lessons of life, so they do not have to be repeated. What lessons have you learned that are part of your testimony that you can share with others, can they help lead someone away from doing something that can harm or hurt them or get stronger to try something they never thought they could do before? When we think about things in this kind of perspective we can change lives, sometimes even our own.

So come along on the ride with me as I explore the next steps on my writing journey in my books and getting back into blogging again after a 5-year hiatus. It is hard to believe that time can pass so quickly yet, you never feel it move on what you could or should be doing because you get lost in a cycle of distraction and life.

Until next time, blessings and God’s Peace be with you!

Jes
